He was born in Cairo in 1929 to an Egyptian father and French mother. He finished his school studies at the age of 19 and then enrolled in the French School of Law. After the first year, he traveled to Paris to finish his studies. At the beginning of the 1940s, he received the top acting award in all Egyptian and foreign schools in Egypt. And the So’ed Ela Al-Haweya (Climbing to the Cliff) marked an important shift in his career which started in 1946. The first movie appearance was in 1946 through the movie I Am The East, and then returned to France again to continue the journey in cinema.
